ICES Newsletter No. 45 - January 2018


Dear newsletter readers!
ICES was started in 2008 and 2018 will be a year of celebration, retrospective and planning for the future. The main celebration will take place in early September but the entire year will be coloured by the anniversary.

FED4SAE – Open call ends February 6th
First open call for Application Experiments – Up to €60K funding, technical and business coaching available to support European companies to develop smart applications. Apply before February 6th.

Workshop in System Engineering - Managing the challenges of tomorrows software intensive systems March 13th 9:15-15:30

System engineering workshop around the following open questions:
-            Will current SE practices suffice? What need to change?
-           Is the system software intensive or is it a software system?- How to
manage extra-functional properties such as safety and security in rapidly evolving systems in rapidly evolving environment?
-           Research directions

Software testing – one day course
The much appreciated test course is back, it is a one day course on Software Testing - Fundamentals and Emerging Technologies. Date: March 22nd 2018. For registration and more information see the event on ICES homepage. This event is open and there is a discount for members.

SCSSS - System & Software Safety Conference May 21st to 22nd.
The 2017 Safety conference was a great success and the program for the 2018 is not yet released but we can disclose that key notes will be:

ICES 10th anniversary conference
ICES has soon been active as a center for 10 years! We will celebrate with activities in two days September 6th to 7th. First day with a management focus and second with more technical content. More information to come!
